Arvato Supply Chain Solutions takes over logistics for e-cigarette retailer InnoCigs
Guetersloh - Arvato Supply Chain Solutions has launched the E-Cigarette wholesaler InnoCigs GmbH & Co. KG as a new customer. Since the beginning of September, fulfillment and logistics for Germany and Europe have been handled for the company with its extensive product portfolio of e-cigarettes and accessories in Marienfeld (Gütersloh district).
InnoCigs, launched in 2011 as a small online retailer for end customers, has played a major role in developing the market for e-cigarettes and is now one of the leading e-cigarette wholesalers in Germany. Since 2017 alone, the product range and volume capacities have tripled. "With 150 employees, we expect total sales of around 60 million euros in 2019," says Martin Lehmann, Chief Operating Officer of InnoCigs. "In order to cope with this growth and to be able to supply our customers reliably and quickly with all products related to e-cigarettes in the future, it was necessary to expand our logistics network. We were looking for a competent logistics and fulfillment partner to support us in this growth".
Arvato Supply Chain Solutions developed an individual customer solution for InnoCigs that uses efficient process chains to distribute B2C orders from the online shop as well as B2B supplies to local retailers, specialist shops and InnoCigs branches in Hamburg from a single inventory. "In addition to warehouse management, picking and distribution, we also take over the overall control of transports and returns handling," explains Jürgen Momberg, site manager at Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in Marienfeld.
The logistics center, which was expanded last year to a total area of 32,000 square meters, primarily provides services for customers in the telecommunications industry. "We focus on supporting fast-growing companies in leading positions such as InnoCigs with our services," says Carsten Coesfeld, Managing Director of Telecommunications at Arvato Supply Chain Solutions. "Our team in Marienfeld is very experienced and competent and therefore particularly suited to supporting young, innovative partners". Also for Martin Lehmann the advantages are obvious: In the fast growing E-cigarette market speed and scalability are crucial for us.
