The Grund family and Arvato are a good match. Louisa Grund's Grandfather worked there for over 40 years, then her mother, her aunt and her uncle. In the third generation, Louisa Grund is now working for the company. The decision to complete her five months internship here was not difficult for her: "After all, I had the best advisors in my own family," smiles the 22-year-old, who is doing her bachelor's degree in the Netherlands in 2019.
There, Louisa began her studies in International Marketing immediately after graduating from high school in 2014. After two internships at online marketing agencies in Spain, she came to Gütersloh in August 2018. In the "Marketing & Communications" department, Louisa is primarily dealing with external and internal communications as well as social media channels such as Twitter and LinkedIn.
In addition, she supports the team in cross-channel theme campaigns such as "Faces of Arvato Supply Chain Solutions" and the maintenance of the intranet. "I have my own projects in which I can implement my ideas. It's fun and gives me much more than just a quick overview."
Accordingly, the working day of the in Möchengladbach born woman is packed to the brim. It begins at eight o'clock in the morning with a short check of the mails received before she sets to work on the daily to-do list. "This can be the preparation of new content for the intranet, proofreading for the employee newspaper or a short-term brainstorming session for a new campaign. I do everything very gladly and like exactly this alternation in the job. The 22-year-old, who speaks German as well as English, Spanish and Dutch, doesn't shy away from coordinating several projects at the same time. "I can focus well on one task and then work very disciplined. That helps me in such a situation." This also applies to short-term work orders that have to be completed without delay. "I have to be flexible and adapt my list of priorities. The ability to quickly adjust to new projects and to develop creative solutions at short notice is very important in this profession."
She doesn't regret for a second that she took her family's advice and did an internship at Arvato. " I'm glad I got to know the company side after working for agencies. Arvato is a great company with many exciting tasks and a flat hierarchy that has made it easy for me to quickly get to grips with work processes."
The well-rehearsed team did the rest to make her start easier and to make it difficult to say goodbye: "Even if everyone has his or her clearly defined area of responsibility, team spirit is a top priority in our department."
Arvato is a great company with exciting tasks and a flat hierarchy.”
After the internship, Louisa, who likes to travel and snowboard in her spare time, returns to Venlo, where she will graduate. And what comes next? " I' ll first go to Colombia for a personal project. What the next professional steps will look like, I will consider there in some time. And if I don't know what to do, I simply ask my family for advice. They always have good ideas," she laughs as she says goodbye.
