Your introduction to the innovative world of logistics
We are looking for logistics specialists who can work with us to shape tomorrow’s world!
Do you love the kind of challenge that requires your brainpower but also enables you to roll up your sleeves? Do you want your employer to recognize your skills, foster your talent, and offer you career prospects in the ambitious logistics sector?
If so, join us for a traineeship in the field of logistics, starting on October 1, 2020! You’ll be laying the foundations for a career at Arvato Supply Chain Solutions – the supply chain management pioneer. Take on the challenge that all your previous training has been preparing you for!
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of warehouse logistics! It will take you on a steep personal and professional learning curve and prepare you to assume managerial roles in the warehousing sector, such as Warehouse Manager or Head of Logistics positions.
What you can expect:
During the trainee program, you will learn about warehouse logistics from the bottom up – at four different logistics centers. You will learn more about every aspect of warehousing (incoming goods, order picking, returns, outgoing goods, etc.) and the relevant behind-the-scenes processes. The best part is that two of these placements will be abroad (within Europe), which will enable you to build up a global picture of real-life business. You will also be able to hone your intercultural skills for future projects or desired roles.
The two other placements will be in the Logistics Engineering (logistics planning, warehouse planning) and Solution Design (solution design and calculation) business units.
What we offer you:
Two of your placements will be at Arvato locations in other European countries, where you will acquire detailed insight into our dynamic logistics projects and processes.
We support and complement your time as a trainee with our human resources development measures and our various continuing education programs (intercultural management, project management certification, SAP certification, forklift operator’s license training, etc.).
A dedicated supervisor will support you during your time at these locations and you will have opportunities to establish your own network.
In addition to receiving fair remuneration, you can also expect additional benefits such as an accommodation allowance and relocation packages for placements outside of East Westphalia.
What you offer us:
Are you the kind of person who is quite happy to get stuck in, even if it means getting your hands dirty? If so, you should utilize your ambition, brains and passion! Take on responsibility, learn and grow – and become an expert in logistics.
In order to join the trainee program, you must either hold a Bachelor’s degree – ideally in logistics, supply chain management, transport management or international management – or have a master’s certificate in a technological or logistical trade.
It is very important to us that you have fluent proficiency in written and spoken English, and that you have the capacity to think analytically and conceptually.
You will travel to your placements in other European countries with great enthusiasm and you will be a proactive contributor in the regular meetings of your international trainee team.
How to apply:
Apply online! Within just a few moments, you will receive an e-mail confirming the receipt of your application.
This enables us to gain an overview of your skills and qualifications, but most of all we want to find out more about your personality.
You’ve been shortlisted! We will now invite you for a telephone interview. This will help us to better assess your skills and competences.
The selection day is our opportunity to develop a more detailed picture of you and your skills. It is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for whether we are a good fit for you. Perhaps you will be one of the new members of staff we’ll be welcoming in October 2020!
