“One way that we act on our sense of corporate responsibility is by giving people from various walks of life the opportunity to reach their potential. By offering job opportunities and apprenticeships, we are making a proactive contribution to integration.”

In January 2019, we became a member of a network called “Unternehmen integrieren Flüchtlinge” (Businesses Integrate Refugees), which was launched by the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry and is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The network supports companies who are integrating refugees into working life. As a member company, we receive access to a wide range of information, events and webinars on the topic. What’s more, we are also able to contact the target group directly via careers advisors, special job boards and job fairs. Plans are already taking shape for the network’s first collaborative endeavor – a large-scale recruitment project in the field of logistics.
“To neglect refugees as a target group would be a missed opportunity, particularly considering the huge social changes taking place at the moment – the fact that we are approaching full employment, the fight for talent, and the demographic changes. If our company wants to attract well-qualified, ambitious and committed employees, diversity will play an essential role in our recruitment strategy.”
