Boris Scholz

President - Automotive | Banks | Insurances & Chief Digital Officer Arvato SCS | Digital (CDO)

Boris Scholz is the President of Arvato Supply Chain Solutions SE since 2011 and is responsible for the Automotive | Banks | Insurance division. As Chief Digital Officer, he is also in charge of the digital transformation of the Supply Chain Solutions Group.

After graduating from the German Foreign Trade and Transportation Academy (DAV) with a focus on marketing and logistics, Boris Scholz joined Bertelsmann Distribution (today Arvato Supply Chain Solutions SE) in 1999 as a Key Account Manager for an automotive customer.

In 2001, he was given additional responsibility for several customers in the automotive sector, of which he became Director in 2005. Boris Scholz founded the Corporate Information Management division in 2007, which was merged and strategically realigned from previously independent sectors within Arvato.

After restructuring the organization in 2013, he is responsible for both the automotive and banking and insurance industry portfolio. In addition, he is driving the transformation of the business unit. Since then, the strategic focus has been on digital transformation and the alignment with the processing of complex logistics transactions with special challenges - ideally in a combination of IT and logistics requirements. From 2013 to 2020, Boris Scholz supervised the international transport management activities.

In the summer of 2020, Boris Scholz founded the new functional unit Arvato SCS | Digital as Chief Digital Officer, which combines all existing digital businesses under one roof and aims to both improve internal processes with the help of digital solutions and establish digital products to complement supply chain services in various industries.

Boris Scholz lives in Münster, Germany with his wife and three children. He was born on June 30, 1971 in Marburg, Germany.
